Apparently this is an Aesop fable. I’m wondering what the moral would be?

Recipe for Disaster:

2 cups of black coffee

1 cup triple shot latte

1 bagel

1 scone

Consume above ingredients BUT NOTHING ELSE over the course of a day. At 10pm remember that you are a dumbass and wolf down a big plate of food. Enjoy feeling like you are about to puke for the rest of the night because that caffeine is never going to let you sleep.

Well, at least this way I know I can keep working till late… because I’d really like to keep staring at data instead of sleeping. Awesome!

Recipe for Brilliance:

(aka Dandelion Noodles that I made for dinner this weekend)

1 cup dandelion leaves

1 egg

3/4 cup flour

pinch of Salt

Garlik and Butttter

Chop up the leaves and mash with the egg. Add in the flour and salt until combined. Knead and roll out. Cut into noodly strips. Let em dry for at least an hour. Boil the crap out of them. Drain. Warm up with butter and garlicy goodness. Quite tasty. Optional: add basil from your poor little plant that needs to be put into a bigger pot dammit.

Lack of posting due to shortage of gumputer time.

Someone defended a Diss, Two with the Theses. Lots of drinking. Also had two presentations about my diss and a committee meeting.

Killer Strategy = Come up with the hugest, most ridiculous dissertation topic, thereby forcing your advisors to whittle it down (you could see the pain in their faces when they said “Maybe you should cut some chapters out”). Awesome. I honestly have the most wonderful advisors ever.

Trouble sleeping though. I keep having funny dreams and waking up in the middle of the night giggling. Something is seriously wrong.

Top 10 Awesome for this week:

1. Okra

2. Cramps “Human Fly” (OK, my favorite for about 13 years, but whatever. I’ve listened to it 3 times today.)

3. Wodehouse book I just bought. Probably explains the dreams. That and the pound of okra.

5. Joanna Newsom (“Do you wanna sit at my table, my fighting skill is fable.”)

6. Frost in the forest. It’s fun to walk on.

OK. Muffintops and I got tattoos. So the question is, which tattoo belongs to uber-nerdy me and which to lovely Muffintops?

Just so you know, because Muffintops visited she is officially my coolest friend. If you want to challenge her title you better get yer caboose out here.

Why don’t you all move here?

I danced, danced, and danced. There was Thriller (of course) and Fischerspooner and Magnetic Fields… and my opinion of this town has greatly improved. I don’t see why you can’t all be moved here by next Halloween.

One of the parties in town. These people like parties. They also like girls on roller-skates apparently, saw lots of those.

OH! Check it: I gots heat now. No more Prairiesicle at night when I’m trying to sleep! Aces!
